The Presdient’s October Housing Scorecard Is In - by Tom Brewer

The Presdient’s October Housing Scorecard Is In While some may remain skeptical of the state of the US housing market and its full recovery, there are very clear indicators that the national real estate industry is making up a lot of ground when it comes to home sales and foreclosure prevention. The recent release of the President’s October 2011 Housing Scorecard highlights the fact that, “More than 850,000 homeowners have received a HAMP permanent modification to date, with a median payment reduction of over $520 each month.” For Arlington and Mansfield homeowners, programs like this and several others sponsored by state and local agencies have helped many homeowners either: buy a home, refinance or modify their loan. Depending on what each individual situation may be, there are a wide array of great programs and opportunities available. Check in with the Tom Brewer REMAX & Mortgage Specialists to explore your options regardless if you are buying selling your home or if you need guidance. Getting back to the October Scorecard, it is good to see the real estate market performing well in many areas. To see detailed information about this monthly scorecard report and those for previous months, go to the HUD.gov website and search for ‘scorecard’.
