Holiday Cheers Start Early in Arlington - by Tom Brewer

Holiday Cheers Start Early in Arlington

Arlington Texas residents will be coming together in droves this holiday season starting with the annual Holiday Magic 2009 festivities sponsored by the Junior League of Arlington. This event has helped Tarrant county residents ring in the holidays on a very positive note.

Despite challenges being faced by some residents, this provides a great opportunity for families and professionals to get out and socialize and network with their neighbors. This year the event will run from October 6th through November 6th. It will feature a Jingle Bell Rock Teen Fashion Show, Cocktail Party, Ladies Style Show, a Rock N Shop a Gift Market, a Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree Children's Party, a silent auction and over 100 vendors with a wide variety of items to choose form.

The festivities will be hosted at the beautiful and spacious Arlington Texas Convention Center. Officials anticipate that thousands of Arlington Texas residents will be in attendance.

The Junior League of Arlington sponsors a number of events throughout the year to help enhance the notoriety of the area and to help citizens, businesses and children in the area. There are just under 300 Junior Leagues spread around the globe, with about 193,000 members. It is a non-profit, educational and charitable organization of women for the promotion of volunteerism.
