Local Entrepreneur Reinvesting Locally - by Tom Brewer

Local Entrepreneur Reinvesting Locally

If approved for $10 million in federal stimulus funds, a new medical facility will bring an estimated 300 jobs to Fort Worth. The facility will specialize in spinal cord injuries. CEO of MobiMed Technologies LLC, Fred Kimble, has applied for the funds and already has $35million set aside.

If all goes well, the project will begin as early as next year. The facility will feature a living area with 80 units, a school for nursing, a school for engineering and the latest in advanced medical research and treatment equipment and techniques all on or in the proposed 150,000 square foot facility.

Mr. Kimble is a Mansfield native and is leading by example when it comes to giving back to the community. The project will is expected to create 300 new jobs to the area including positions for doctors, nurses, therapists, teachers and business managers. These career opportunities will likely draw qualified candidates from all around the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex area. Kimble is also involved in a number of other projects in the region ranging from summer youth programs to veteran’s affairs.

The influx of new jobs, if the grant is approved, will help boost the local economy and, as a result boost Fort Worth home sales. The region is already doing very well compared to other metropolitan areas in the United States so this project will make Fort Worth even more appealing to potential new residents. There are many homes in and around Fort Worth so finding a good deal will not be an issue for homebuyers.
