Where to Find Undervalued Tarrant County Homes - by Tom Brewer

Where to Find Undervalued Tarrant County Homes

Arlington and Mansfield Texas home prices, according to IHS Global Insight's study, are among the most undervalued in the United States. The study also found that those prices have stayed the same this year.

What this means is that Arlington and Mansfield Texas real estate can handle price increases in the market. Overall, Global Insight claims that the US housing market is ten percent undervalued. Compare this with the overvaluation of more than twenty-four percent at the market's peak in 2005.

To approximate valuation, the metrics include housing density, population density, interest rates, income, and previous house prices. Thanks to the ease with which houses can be built in Texas, it has always been undervalued. A sudden jump in migration to Texas, for example, will not be a problem. In California or Florida, there's not much affordable or desirable land to build on and the home prices are typically too high.

Texas has always been considered one of the more affordable places to buy a home. While this maybe so, homeowners in Texas shoulder some of the highest property taxes and insurance rates in the country. Wages in many Texas cities are also below those in other markets but that is okay considering the affordable Mansfield and Arlington Texas homes available.
